There is a lot of competition from other sites that have been around much longer such as forumer etc. I think that you should try and have a unique point about this forum in order to seperate from the competition hen when advertising focus on this point. You coud maybe implement something to do with signatures or even have the forum linked with myspace blogs etc all done through scripting.
