Create Your Own Skin - Direction Post

download the cool skin's attachment on the support forum:[url=http://support.forumgogo.com/thread-331-1-2.html]http://support.forumgogo.com/thread-331-1-2.html[/url]
that's the skin's file, you can find many pics in it.


[font=Verdana][color=red][b]1. Change the pics of cool skin, keep name & size the same.[/b]

eg, change the new post pic.
the cool's new post pic '[b]newtopic[/b]' is: [img]http://baby.forumgogo.com/data/16/7/167/a/forumid_2363/20070829_ea80873d63e315e343d5BNdwpRzybkPG.gif[/img]
and i create a pic instead of the cool's '[b]newtopic[/b]' pic: [img]http://baby.forumgogo.com/data/16/7/167/a/forumid_2363/20070829_a2f751d8fca4aac04e98KFxd19WMlWN1.gif[/img] , remember also named it '[b]newtopic[/b]'.

[color=red]Note: keep pics' names the same, and also the size of the pics (the size can be a little changed,but dont change much) & name the skin file()

[font=Verdana][b][color=red]2. Upload the skin file (not rar,just the file include all pics of skin) to your free webspace. [/color][/b][/font][font=Verdana]

[/font]for example: I create a skin named '[b]skin1[/b]' already, and i wanner upload it to the webspace now .

                 [b][color=red]①[/color] [/b]Go to your webspace, in the [b]Root[/b], create one file, named skin1, submit then:

                             [img]http://baby.forumgogo.com/data/16/7/167/a/forumid_2363/20070829_4196834b10dab38c4a10AwS38mOM634a.jpg[/img]
[color=red]                                        Note: Create the file in your webspace's Root.[/color]      
            
                      ok now, look at the below pic.

[/color][/font][/b]    [b]Forum Logo {BOARDIMG},{BOARDLOGO}:[/b]  put the logo's name of your skin. my skin1's logo name is logo.jpg, so i put the [b]logo.jpg [/b]in this textboard.

    [b]Image Directory {IMGDIR}:[/b]  put the url of the skin in your space ,as my webspace url is: [url=http://ann1.91.tc]http://ann1.91.tc[/url], and my skin file name is [b]skin1[/b], and i have upload it in my webspace [b]root file[/b], so then 'Image Directory' is: [url=http://ann1.91.tc/skin1/]http://ann1.91.tc/skin1/[/url].

[b]    Smilies Directory {SMDIR}: images/smilies[/b]   [i](dont modify it).[/i]
     
    [b]The others you can modify it to what you want.[/b]  (Sample for reference, download the[b] attachment[/b])

Go to your webspace, in the Root, where is this root?????

you can register a webspace from other webspace hosting sites .

'root' just means you upload the file into the webspace in the first directory, not under other files. get it?

I am confused on this as well, I don't understand what a "Root" is, and where it is on my forum...

'root' just means you upload the file into the webspace in the first directory, not under other files.

maybe you r not very clearly about that.

first, you must find a webspace for uploading the skin's file, know what is a webspace? you can upload files, pics and others to that space, and some space also can use FTP to upload the files.

then if you find a webspace, then upload the skin file to it.
and then do what i have told you in the first post.
