I need help with a smiley
I am using the smiley
But each time I click on it to use it, it shows this on the post instead of the image "/www.merc.ca/vbulletin/images/smilies/rofl.gif" smilieid="21967" border="0" alt="" />" I don't get it....

first, you must upload it on your forum as a attachment.
1.Smilies :
uploading the pics of smilies as attachments in post ,
(you can look at here for uploading attachments http://support.forumgogo.com/viewthread.php?tid=14&extra=page%3D1)
then get the address of the pic,
go ,Admin's CP --> Posts --> Edit Smilies -->Smilies Code: fill what you want.
Smilies Filename :fill in with the url of your smilies pics.

Hmmm, I did, it's not working, and does this for all the smilies. Why is it doing this all of a sudden? The smilies have been working just fine up until now.

1.delete all smilies
2.Admin CP. --> Tools --> Update Caches.
3.delete the smilies attachments, and then upload them to the forum again, copy the url all, include the pic's format(as, jpg..). then try add them again.
4.check this: http://animals.forumgogo.com/viewthread.php?tid=330&pid=212&page=1&extra=page%3D1#pid212

Ah, I finally got it to work, thanks for time.
But, how the heck did you promote your rank by yourself and delete some smilies????

Oh, okay. Well I'm sorry to bug you again, but most smilies aren't working. Go check my website, and try if you want. Only a few smilies work, I can't figure out why.
So I find a smiley, and save it as a picture. I then upload it on a post. Then, I right click on it, then properties, and copy the url, and use that in admin cp...it doesn't work on most of the smilies, still.

Okay, got it. Well, now about half of the smileys work, can you check? It is under the lounge, on the topic testing smilies. On the last post, I posted all the smilies, and you can see which ones worked...thanks for your time, again. I hope I can get this annoying thing to work already.

Hey, I've tried again a loong time, no luck...let me explain to you. So now, all smilies work except for one, which is the headbang one. Also, smilies don't work if I am editing a post. Thanks if you could see what is going on again, on my forum: http://animals.forumgogo.com/index.php Thanks again...I have no clue why smilies stopped working about a week after my forum was set up. :(

Its ok now.
the reason is, the smilies' code cant have "/" or number.
The Smilies in PM also have some questions, but it can be used.we will solve it for you as quickly as possible.

Oh hey, I think it's working now. I hope it stays that way, and thank you very much for your time, I really do appreciate it.
But how did you get them to not have a number or a "/"?
